Introduction to the Resource Centre
Located within the Palais de la Porte Dorée, the Abdelmalek Sayad Resource Centre offers a unique collection of resources on migration issues: essays and papers, theses, journals, films and audiovisual materials, as well as novels and comic books.
With a rich collection in the humanities and social sciences, law, economics, the arts and culture, the print collection comprises over 18,000 documents, books, specialist journals, theses and grey literature. Fiction and novels, plays, poetry, literary criticism and comic books - amounting to nearly 3,000 titles - round off the academic collection.

It holds a unique audiovisual collection comprising over 2,000 films. The complete archives of the programme "Mosaïque" are also available for consultation in the reading room, as are the archives of one of its founders, Tewfik Farès.
The following are also available for consultation: the archives of "Études sociales nord-africaines" (ESNA): Documents nord-africains (1950–1965), Cahiers Nord-Africains (1950–1965), Hommes et Migrations Études (1965–1981), Hommes et Migrations Documents (1965–1981).
Whilst documents relating to the humanities and social sciences and books on art are freely accessible, literary fiction, audiovisual and audio materials, the archives of the Mosaïque programme and those of ESNA publications require a prior request.
